Charlie Morgan: Senior Pastor
Pastor Charlie has been serving First Baptist and the community of Borger since March 2014. He and his wife Kim have been married 34 years and have three grown children: Robert, a Chief Warrant Officer in the Marines currently stationed in North Carolina; Katherine, a high school counselor in Grapevine, Texas; and Joey, a worship pastor at Crosspoint Church in Salina, Kansas. Charlie has two grandsons, five and two granddaughters. He is passionate about God’s Word, making disciples, and equipping the church. He also enjoys hiking, golf, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family. 
Ricky Garzon: College and Worship Pastor
Ricky is a native of Borger, Texas. He came to serve First Baptist in July of 2016. He most recently came from Newlife in Dalhart, Texas where he served as worship pastor. Ricky is married to the love of his life, Kallie, who stays at home and serves alongside Ricky. They have three children: Elijah, Kyle and Annabella. Ricky is no stranger to First Borger as his dad served as the Pastor to Primera Iglesia Bautista for 22 years, a Spanish mission plant of First Borger. Ricky loves to worship in song and lead people in an authentic encounter with the God of the Bible. He also leads the college ministry and partners with Frank Phillips College in many of their programs. He has a desire to connect college students to God’s Word and lead them into a relationship with Jesus.
Michael Griffith: Pastor to Families with Children
Michael began serving at First Borger in July of 2016. Michael’s family comes from the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he and his wife Aimee served together for over ten years in youth and children’s ministry. They have one daughter named Katelyn. Michael has a great desire to reach the children of Borger with the Gospel and to work alongside parents in equipping them to become fully committed followers
Guy Mervyn: Pastor to Families with Students

Guy began serving at First Borger in June 2018. Originally from Southeast Michigan, Guy moved to Texas in 2003 to attend Arlington Baptist University where he earned a degree in Youth Ministry and more importantly met his wife Leah. Together they have four children: Mari, Amelia, Loralei and Foster. As a family they desire to reach students for Jesus and equip parents to disciple their children to live lives on mission for God.

Tia Speed:
Wee School Director
Tia began serving as WEE School Director in June 2016. Tia is a long time member of First Borger having been a Wee Schooler here herself! Tia spent six years as a teacher in public education before coming to WEE School. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Education from Wayland Baptist University in 2005 and earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wichita State University in 2011. She and her husband David have three small children who are all enrolled in the WEE School program. Tia’s goal is to help WEE School provide a Christ-centered quality education that prepares children for the future with a foundation in God’s love. 
Shana Richardson: Pastoral Ministry Assistant
Shana was hired in March of 2015. Before coming here she was a PreSchool & Kids Camp Director/Teacher, Children’s Director, and Office Administrator for another local church. She has three children and two grandchildren. In her spare time she loves to design, paint, sew, and just create and spend time with her family. Her favorite Bible verse is John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” 
Roxanna Blakely:
Pastoral Ministry Assistant
Roxanna has worked for First Borger since 2005. She serves as an assistant to the Family Ministry department. She has been married to Steve for 39 years. She loves to work in her flowerbeds and read and occasionally takes on a craft project. She’s the proud Nana to two grandsons. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:13: “You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart.”
Tiffany Phelan:
Finance Director
Tiffany started in October of 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration-Accounting from Colorado State University, Pueblo. She has 10 years of experience in accounting. She is married to Junior and has four children. She loves spending time with her family and growing her relationship with Jesus. Her favorite Bible verse is Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” 
Nick Hernandez:
Facilities Superintendent

Nick grew up in Borger and moved back with his wife and child from DFW in June of 2014 to serve First Baptist as the Building and Grounds Superintendent.  He started attending children’s ministries at First Baptist in 1986 and grew up at First Baptist. His family is blessed to be a part of this church.  Nick and his staff strive to update and maintain First Baptist facilities and grounds with love for the church as a people and its property.
